FIELDS OF APPLICATION
- As a non-shrink casting paste, it is ideal for anchoring metal bolts.
- Usable as a paste for sealing cracks formed by concrete settlement, provided that it has been verified that the movement has ceased
- Usable as a thixotropic repair mortar, applied by trowelling or tapping on spalling and cracks in concrete walls. Can be applied horizontally and vertically
- As a thin-layer adhesive cement, for bonding ceramic materials, stoneware, iron and precast concrete. Placing marble pieces in thresholds, lintels, kitchen sinks, etc.
- The addition of powder (the 3rd component) can be varied, giving rise to very diverse applications; fillings by casting without shrinkage, anchoring of metal bolts, thixotropic repair of concrete, spalling repairs, etc.
HOW IS IT APPLIED?
Before applying EPOXICOL, we recommend as follows:
- All substrates must be fully cured, resistant and solid, as well as free of dust, paint, waxes, oils and grease at all times.
- It is highly recommended to sandblast the substrate. As a minimum, brushing with a metal brushing tool is mandatory.
- If the application is on concrete, the concrete must have set at least 28 days prior.
Method:
Mix the three components as follows:
- Remove the three components from the bucket.
- Empty the contents of the two bottles completely into the bucket.
- Add about half of the powder and mix with a spiral whisk attached to an electric drill at a low RPM. (300 r.p.m. recommended).
- Add as much powder as necessary depending on the type of application, which can range from a fluid mass to a thick paste.
- Please take the following into account:
- In the case of bolt anchorages in concrete, the diameter of the hole must be 4 mm larger than the diameter of the bolt.
- Clean the tools with water before the EPOXICOL hardens
- Download the EPOXICOL Technical Data Sheet to check all the technical details to ensure correct, safe application.
HOW IS IT RECYCLED?
- Use cardboard and paper recycling bins to dispose of unusable and empty sacks.
- Use plastic recycling bins for unusable and empty plastic packaging.
- Mortar residues and leftover building materials must be disposed of at the appropriate green point or recycling location for your district.
