FIELDS OF APPLICATION
- Cement glue for bonding and grouting porcelain stoneware and vitreous mosaics in SWIMMING POOLS that use traditional chlorination with chlorine.
- Suitable for bonding porcelain stoneware on mortar in interior and exterior floors.
- We recommend using FIXSET GEL to bond porcelain stoneware, terracotta, mosaic or tiles in interiors if you want to achieve a higher resistance to humidity than that provided by FIXACER in bathrooms, showers and areas exposed to water.
- Suitable for laying ceramic tiles on gypsum plaster, plaster, plaster partition walls, plasterboard Pladur or waterproof Pladur and on any other facing composed primarily of gypsum.
- It adheres perfectly to RECRECEM PRE-MIX, FIX-REVOCO, FIX-NIVEL, HIDROFIX and IMPERTOT.
HOW IS IT APPLIED?
Before applying FIXSET GEL we recommend as follows:
- All substrates shall always be strong, solid and free of dust, paint, wax, oil and grease. And they shall not be subject to hydraulic shrinkage.
- When the substrate is gypsum, plasterboard or derivatives, they shall have a moisture content of less than 0.5% and shall be free of dust and efflorescence.
Preparing the mix:
- Mix approximately 7.25 litres of water with 25 kg of FIXSET GEL.
- Use an electric mixer at a low RPM to avoid lumps.
- It is best to use a notched trowel with a tooth size according to the size of the workpiece to be applied.
- It is not necessary to wet the tiles before laying them.
- Apply the parts with sufficient pressure to ensure a minimum cement contact of 80%.
- Protect the newly installed flooring from excessive heat, frost, rain and any other adverse weather conditions for at least 24 hours after installation.
Sealing of joints:
- We recommend using the FIXSET GEL itself. You can also opt for EUROCOLOR FLEX, IDEAL COLOUR, CERPOXI or PROFESSIONAL PX.
- The expansion joints require application of a specific elastic material (use SELLALASTIC or SILICONA NEUTRA).
- Download the FIXSET GEL Data Sheet for further technical details.
HOW IS IT RECYCLED?
- Use cardboard and paper recycling bins to dispose of unusable and empty sacks.
- Use plastic recycling bins for unusable and empty plastic packaging.
- Mortar residues and leftover building materials must be disposed of at the appropriate green point or recycling location for your district.
