FIELDS OF APPLICATION

  • Cement-glue suitable for grouting glass mosaic in traditionally chlorinated swimming pools with chlorine.
  • TECNOCOL GEL is specially formulated for COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS when bonding stoneware or porcelain stoneware tiles in SWIMMING POOLS directly to waterproofing products such as HIDROELASTIC, LAMINA PROOF or LAMINA STEEL.
  • Also suitable for “Silestone”. Indoors only, without heating, without hot water pipes and in thin layers.
  • Suitable for delicate laying of NON ABSORBENT ceramic tiles on NON ABSORBENT ceramic substrates.
  • Recommended for bonding terracotta tiles, to avoid the appearance of efflorescence phenomena.
  • Laying of natural stone, slate, marble, granite and large-size panels, among others.
  • Suitable for OVERLAYING: porcelain stoneware on terrazzo, tile on tile, glazed decorative tiles to each other, marble on stoneware, etc., for clean and degreased substrates (we recommend cleaning with FIX-SABÓ).

HOW IS IT APPLIED?

Before applying TECNOCOL GEL we recommend as follows:

  • All substrates shall always be strong, solid and free of dust, paint, wax, oil and grease. And they shall not be subject to hydraulic shrinkage.
  • When the substrate is gypsum, plasterboard (drywall) or derivatives, they shall have a moisture content of less than 0.5% and shall be free of dust and efflorescence.

Preparing the mix:

  • Mix with clean water until homogenised: 8.0 litres of water per bag.
  • Use an electric mixer at a low RPM to avoid lumps.
  • Leave to stand for 2 minutes and remix, so that the paste is ready for use.
  • It is best to use a notched trowel with a tooth size according to the size of the workpiece to be applied.
  • It is not necessary to wet the tiles before laying them.
  • Apply the parts with sufficient pressure to ensure a minimum cement contact of 80%.
  • Protect the newly installed flooring from excessive heat, frost, rain and any other adverse weather conditions for at least 24 hours after installation.

Sealing of joints:

HOW IS IT RECYCLED?

  • Use cardboard and paper recycling bins to dispose of unusable and empty sacks.
  • Use plastic recycling bins for unusable and empty plastic packaging.
  • Mortar residues and leftover building materials must be disposed of at the appropriate green point or recycling location for your district.
