FIELDS OF APPLICATION

  • Bonding of galvanised profiles in plasterboard installations
  • Bonding of metal, stainless steel or ceramic washbasins on top of marble or wooden worktops.
  • Bonding of mirrors in bathrooms.
  • Bonding of electrical appliances in kitchens.
  • Bonding of sanitary ware: bidets, WCs and furniture
  • Bonding of insulating materials such as rock wool or polystyrene directly on the brick
  • Bonding of skirting boards and lintels
  • Bonding of panels on ventilated façades
  • Sealing of safety glass
  • Sealing of bodywork joints
  • Sealing and filling of cracks even with movement.
  • Sealing in shipbuilding.
  • Seals on glass, porcelain, aluminium, polyester and fine woods.
  • Thanks to its very low modulus, it is highly elastic and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

HOW IS IT APPLIED?

Before applying MASTIC MS we recommend as follows:

  • The substrate must be clean, resistant and solid, as well as free of dust, waxes, oils, grease, oxides and old paint. The mortar substrates where MASTIC MS is to be applied must be perfectly set, in concrete: 4 weeks, although they may be slightly damp on the surface.

Application of the primer:

  • MASTIC MS can be applied on non-absorbent unprimed surfaces, aluminium, glass and similar.
  • MASTIC MS can be applied on absorbent surfaces with prior priming with the product IMPRIMACIÓN SELLADOR S10 on concrete and mortar. Apply with a brush until the substrate is completely saturated. It is ESSENTIAL to perform this operation EFFECTIVELY. Leave to dry for at least 1 hour (but no more than 4 hours).

Putty application:

  • Cut the cannula using scissors, and insert the cartridge into the specific gun for this type of container. Apply the product, making sure that it penetrates deeply and comes into contact with the sides of the part to be bonded or sealed.

Application on ventilated façades for the bonding of panels:

Three basic points are recommended:

  • Apply a 3 mm thick double-sided adhesive tape. This tape will help the adhesion of MASTIC MS during the first 24 hours of drying.
  • Apply MASTIC MS in vertical stripes at a distance of 30 cm maximum between them.
  • Make sure that the thickness of the MASTIC MS is sufficient and press hard.

Other advice to consider:

  • If the joint is very wide, apply the putty in three successive passes: the first two near the sides of the joint and press down, and the third pass in the centre.
  • It can be smoothed using a suitable tool and a little soapy water or alcohol. It is always very useful to use masking tape to ensure a perfect joint finish.
  • The masking tape is removed when the putty is still fresh.
  • Download the MASTIC MS  Data Sheet to check all the technical details, to view the various possible solutions according to each need and to ensure correct, safe application.

HOW IS IT RECYCLED?

  • Use cardboard and paper recycling bins to dispose of unusable and empty sacks.
  • Use plastic recycling bins for unusable and empty plastic packaging.
  • Mortar residues and leftover building materials must be disposed of at the appropriate green point or recycling location for your district.
