FIX-TERRATS FIBRA: TERRACE WATERPROOFING
In the world of construction everything has a limited lifespan. The same applies to the waterproofing of a roof or terrace. When the years go by and our roof becomes less watertight, we have to decide how to recover its lost or damaged watertightness.
There are not many options. We can show you three.
Let’s imagine that we have a ceramic tile terrace. The first and most drastic option is to tear out the entire ceramic-waterproofing assembly and start again.
The second way is to use PVC sheets that are glued directly onto the old ceramic tiles. New tiling can be laid on top of it afterwards.
Both of these routes are very good, but they are obviously expensive options.
There is a third option: the use of FIX-TERRATS FIBRA.
FIX-TERRATS FIBRA is an elastic and waterproof paint for continuous application on roofs and terraces.
FIX-TERRATS FIBRA is available in grey, red and tile colour. It is a ready-to-use product: open the can and apply the paint with a roller, brush or air-less system.
The application of at least two coats of FIX-TERRATS FIBRA, interspersed with VELO-TERRATS-50 glass veil mesh, ensures the waterproofing of roofs, terraces, gutters, chimney joints, walls, copings, parapets, etc. It can also be applied to old fibre cement roofs.
FIX-TERRATS FIBRA is resistant to weathering and the sun’s UV rays.
FIX-TERRATS FIBRA allows purely domestic foot traffic to hang clothes on the clothesline, to check the TV aerial, etc.
FIX-TERRATS FIBRA needs to have a sufficient slope to drain rainwater by gravity directly into the drains. In no case shall this slope be less than 1%.
FIX-TERRATS FIBRA should not be used in swimming pools, tanks, planters, ponds, dikes,…
