How to make mould and fungus free joints

HOW TO MAKE MOULD AND FUNGUS FREE JOINTS

In ceramic floor or wall tiling, where high quality ceramics are used, joints are a fundamental part, and the final result of the assembly depends on them. That is why it is so important to use high quality coloured mortars: with excellent abrasion resistance, low water absorption, easy cleaning and maintenance. As an example we offer you FIXCOLOR and EUROCOLOR FLEX classified as CG 2 WAr according to EN 13.888.

But at FIXCER we go one step further: we want the ultimate joint; a joint with an unbeatable aesthetic appearance; a joint that is not susceptible to microbial growth:  we present IDEAL COLOR.

This coloured mortar is also classified as CG 2 WAr according to EN 13.888, but far exceeds the required standards. Its specific formulation based on new water-repellent and fungicide additives prevents the surface formation of various types of mould and fungus in swimming pools, bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, etc. The growth of these micro-organisms that foul joints starts in damp areas.

On the other hand, with IDEAL COLOR, we avoid the appearance of the dreaded whitish efflorescence. IDEAL COLOR is manufactured with specific hydraulic binders, which block the emergence of these stains, achieving joints of a uniform colour along their entire length.

The success of IDEAL COLOR lies in the fact that it has both a long pot life and a fast setting time: in only 3 hours the entire chemical process is carried out until the final colour of the joint is achieved.

In cold weather, IDEAL COLOR is the ideal grouting mortar: it uses its own heat of hydration to continue the chemical drying reaction.

In addition, IDEAL COLOR is specially designed to be very pleasant to spread, scoop up and clean.

IDEAL COLOR is available in 34 pre-dosed colours:  add clean water and apply.

IDEAL COLOR is supplied in 5 kg bags and 25 kg sacks depending on the colour chosen.
